Which slicers can open the 3MF?

Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura. Each color arrives as a separate part of the same object with its color already set, so you only have to assign a filament to each one.

What kind of image works best?

Flat logos with solid colors and clean edges. A PNG with a transparent background is ideal. Photos and gradients are reduced to the number of colors you choose, so they come out posterized.

Can I print it with a single-nozzle printer and no AMS?

Yes. Turn on "Color only on the top layers" so the color changes happen only in the last few layers, or download the STL and swap filament by hand at the heights you want.
