Frequently asked questions

Is the texture real geometry or just a color?

It is real geometry. The surface is subdivided and every point is pushed in or out according to the texture, so the relief comes out in the print.

Which projection should I use?

Automatic works for most objects. Use cylindrical for vases, cups and lamps so the pattern wraps around without seams, spherical for balls, and flat when you only want to texture one face.

Why is the file so big?

Fine textures need many small triangles. If the file is too heavy for your slicer, lower the detail or make the texture larger.

Is it free?
