Ready in 3 steps

01

Enter your name or title

Type your name, job title or label. For desk nameplates, single-line text with 10–20 characters works best.

02

Adjust depth and bevel

Increase depth to 10–15mm for impressive volume. Add a bevel of 1–2mm for smooth professional-looking edges.

03

Print and display

Print flat side down — no supports needed. Place on your desk, shelf or mount to a wall for instant personalisation.

Frequently asked questions

Typically 15–25cm wide and 3–6cm tall. Set the Size slider to around 35–45 for a standard nameplate, and depth to 8–12mm so letters have good volume.
Black PLA on a white desk or white PLA on a dark desk both look very professional. Gold silk PLA or silver metallic filament creates a premium executive feel.
The generator creates single-line text. For a name + title nameplate, generate two files (one for name, one for title at a smaller size) and print both to mount together.
Print the text flat, then glue it vertically onto a thin base plate (print a simple rectangle in your slicer). Alternatively, print at a 90° angle for a free-standing effect.
Yes — STLs you generate are yours to use commercially. Many Etsy sellers use Text3D Maker to create nameplates and personalised items for their shops.
Currently all fonts are Latin-based and support accented characters (á, é, ñ, ü, ç). Full support for Cyrillic, Arabic or CJK scripts is not yet available.
