🎨
Signs, walls and furniture
Paint a name on a door, a quote on a wall or a number on a garden box. A printed stencil stays flat, does not tear like paper and can be cleaned and used again.
📦
Crates, cases and workshop labels
Mark boxes, toolboxes and shelves with spray paint in the classic military or industrial look. Black Ops One, Saira Stencil and Allerta Stencil are made for it.
🔢
Full alphabet and numbers
One click fills in A to Z or 0 to 9 and spreads the characters over as many lines as needed so the plate fits your bed. Print the set once and reuse it for any word.

Ready in 3 steps

01

Type your text or pick a set

Write one or more lines, or press A–Z, a–z, 0–9 or A–Z 0–9 to get the whole alphabet or every number. Choose one of the 12 stencil fonts and the letter height in millimetres.

02

Adjust the plate

Set the thickness (0.8 mm by default), the margin, the corner radius and optional hanging holes. Any piece that would fall out, like the inside of an O or an 8, gets a bridge automatically, and the tool warns you if a bridge is thinner than 0.8 mm.

03

Download STL or SVG

Sign in with Google and download an STL to print flat on the bed, or an SVG at real size for Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, LightBurn or Inkscape. The STL and SVG of the same design count as one download.

How to paint with a 3D printed stencil

  • Fix it in place. A light coat of repositionable spray adhesive or a few strips of painter's tape stops the stencil from moving and paint from creeping under the edges.
  • Use little paint. Dab with a stencil brush or a sponge, or spray several thin coats from 20 to 30 cm away. A heavy coat is what makes edges bleed.
  • Lift it straight up while the paint is still wet, and clean it with water or the solvent of your paint before the next use.
  • For glass or the back of a surface, turn on "Mirror the text" so the result reads correctly from the front.

The 12 stencil fonts

Saira Stencil One and Black Ops One give the bold, military look of shipping crates. Allerta Stencil and Sirin Stencil are lighter and rounder, good for home decor. Stardos Stencil has serifs and a classic feel, Big Shoulders Stencil is tall and narrow so long words fit on a smaller plate, Stick No Bills looks like a street poster, and Emblema One and Wallpoet are the most graphic of the set.

Frequently asked questions

Letters such as O, A, B, P, R or the numbers 0, 4, 6, 8 and 9 have inner parts that would fall out of a sheet. Stencil fonts leave small bridges that keep them in place. The tool also checks the final shape and adds a bridge to any loose piece it finds, so even symbols like @ or ® work.
For paint and spray, 0.8 mm in PETG or PLA is a good start: stiff enough to handle and thin enough to leave sharp edges. For curved surfaces, print it in TPU or in PETG at 0.6 mm. Go up to 1.2 mm for large plates that you will scrub clean often.
With a 0.4 mm nozzle, letters from about 15 mm high keep bridges of at least 0.8 mm in most fonts. Below that the tool shows a warning. Bold fonts such as Saira Stencil One or Black Ops One hold up better at small sizes than thin ones.
Yes. The SVG contains the outline of the plate and the letters at real size in millimetres. Import it into Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, LightBurn or Inkscape and cut it from stencil film, cardboard, vinyl or acrylic.
Yes. The 12 fonts are published under the SIL Open Font License, which allows commercial use of the stencils and of everything you make with them.
